As Quantity Surveyors and experts in planning and delay analysis, we take a forensic approach to understanding the full scope of your contract. We meticulously review the specification, drawings, and scope of work, and compare them against the issues currently in dispute.
Our detailed analysis enables us to present clear, evidence-based technical arguments to support your position—helping you move towards a well-founded and efficient resolution.
Based on our experience, most of this work could be categorised into: –

SERVICE PROVISION
INVESTIGATIVE REVIEWS
This is the ability to clearly illustrate chronological events by scrutinising project documentation in order to identify the ‘root causes’ of the problems faced.
CONTRACTUAL KNOWLEDGE
By utilising our full comprehension and understanding of Standard Forms of Contract and how bespoke conditions intertwine with these, (e.g. Z Clauses within a Standard NEC Contract), we are able to readily identify any contractual breaches that may have occurred.
DELAY & DISRUPTION ANALYSIS
Here we identify any Project Scope Creep using Critical Path Analysis to evaluate Extensions of Time to be incorporated into revised project programmes.
COST ANALYSIS
This process includes reviewing and assessing Actual Project Costs against Original Budget Forecasts by validating any variations, CEs or claims, from both a principle and quantum perspective.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION SUPPORT AND AGREEMENT
Initially our team supports or challenges claims based on both factual assessments and contractual intentions via inaugural review, prior to subsequently preparing Evidence and Expert Witness Reports for adjudication, arbitration or litigation if necessary.
TENDER ANALYSIS
This involves the review or preparation of tender information to ensure, inter alia, that Risk and Contingency Assessments have been properly addressed to enhance the contractual collaboration between the parties and mitigate any future project challenges that may arise.
EXPERT COMMUNICATION & REPORTING
Here we produce clearly structured reports or audits that comprehensively demonstrate any findings to legal teams or clients which are often complex in nature on large projects where many interconnected work activities exist.
